Term 4 Tennis
As we wrap up another fantastic Term 4 igsa and IPSHA Tennis season, we are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Pymble teams. Congratulations to igsa Pymble 1, who were crowned Senior Division 1 champions, and to igsa Pymble 10, who claimed the Junior Division 1 title. Both teams went undefeated throughout the entire season, an outstanding accomplishment that reflects their consistency, teamwork and commitment.
We also acknowledge the success of igsa Pymble 20 and Pymble 23, who each won their respective divisions. Well done to all players and coaches involved for their hard work and enthusiasm across the season.
Last week, a talented Pymble team also represented the College in Traralgon, Victoria, at the Gallipoli Youth Cup – School Teams Tennis Nationals. Despite missing our number one player, Ariel Gunawan (Year 10), and facing the strongest school tennis teams in Australia, the girls battled through challenging windy conditions to finish a commendable sixth place, winning three out of their six ties. Their resilience, teamwork and competitive spirit were outstanding throughout the event.
Congratulations to the team of Ayeesha Dowerah (Year 10), Isabella Su (Year 9), Elona Thorne (Year 8), Elizabeth Bull (Year 12), Risha Kumar (Year 7) and Chloe Morrison (Year 7).
Another special mention goes to Isla Morrison (Year 4) for her recent Tennis achievements. After being selected in Tennis NSW Super10s squad this year, Isla participated in two competitions this term – 2025 U10 NSW State Teams Championship in late October and 2025 U10 NSW v VIC State of Origin last weekend. Isla competed well in both events and enjoyed and grew from the experience of playing against stronger opponents.
Congratulations to all our players on a successful season. We look forward to seeing you back on court in 2026!
