Pymble Cattle Team Shines at Upper Hunter Beef Bonanza (UHBB) 2025
The Pymble Ladies’ College Cattle Team has once again demonstrated exceptional talent, dedication and teamwork, achieving outstanding results at the 2025 Upper Hunter Beef Bonanza (UHBB) in Scone. As one of Australia’s largest and most prestigious cattle shows, the UHBB welcomed more than 420 steers and an impressive 920 secondary and TAFE students from across the region, making this year’s event highly competitive and fiercely contested.
Steer Class Success
Our team exhibited three exceptional steers in the challenging Steer Classes:
- Vector: 6th Place – Highly Commended (Heavy Middleweight)
- Vinnie: 6th Place – Highly Commended (Heavyweight)
- Vesta: 2nd Place (Heavyweight)
A special commendation goes to ‘Vesta’ for securing second place—a remarkable achievement that reflects our team’s skill in animal preparation and handling. Of note, ‘Vesta’ and ‘Vinnie’ were sourced from the Laurie Family (Georgia Laurie – 2018 Pymble alumni), whose steadfast support and partnership are greatly appreciated by everyone at Pymble Ladies’ College. We extend our sincere gratitude to Ted and Alison Laurie for their invaluable contribution to our team’s ongoing success.
