From the Futures Team

This week, we are beginning our Futures sessions with the new Year 12 cohort, guiding students through planning for life beyond Pymble. We are helping students identify their current stage in Post Pymble Planning: 

  1. Self-Awareness: Unsure about what they want to do after school. 
  2. Exploration: Have some ideas but need guidance on where to find information. 
  3. Managing their Future (Applications): Know their pathways but need support with the process. 

Futures Presentations (Year 12 – 2026)  

  1. Understanding Qualifications & Undergraduate Terminology 
  2. Planning A, B, and C pathways – including adjustment factors, early entry and special schemes, and various post-school options. 

Overseas Masterclasses (open to Year 10 & 11) must sign up 

  1. Oxbridge Presentation: Friday 21 November in MBS library for any student considering Oxford or Cambridge in 2026. 
  2. ESCP Paris Presentation: Friday 28 November – (External presenter from Europe) Learn about a unique business degree delivered across various European cities. ESCP management degree 
  3. External Webinars:

How Parents Can Support 

Year 12 2026

  • If you can encourage your daughter to: 
  • Be fully present when attending presentations 
  • Meet with the Futures team (especially if uncertain about their next steps) 
  • Read and save weekly updates 
  • Explore all available options 
  • Ask for help when they need it 

We encourage students to take charge of their own planning as this is good preparation for life beyond Pymble. Should you wish to be part of a meeting with your daughter and the Futures team, please email futures@pymblelc.nsw.edu.au. Meetings are available during students’ study lessons, before or after school, and your daughter must attend with you.
