What some students have said about Qualifications in Dance
Bonita Xie – Completing the Certificate II in Dance course was an amazing experience! Not only did it allow me to experience a different side of the onstage action, through assistant teaching a class, but it also helped me learn more about the backstage component of dance as well. Being able to see how the stage and theatre works and how the costumes and make-up of a piece can enhance the performance was eye-opening. Through this course I was also able to become more aware of my body and technique, making improvements along the way. Overall, Cert II immensely improved my dance knowledge, both onstage and offstage, and was an enjoyable experience.
Denise Wang – The Certificate II in Dance course was highly educational as it allowed me to broaden my knowledge within the dance industry through both practical and theory exercises. It was an eye-opening experience with many benefits! Additionally, this course allowed me to create new bonds with different girls amongst the Pymble Dance family and strengthen personal skills.
Olivia Eichmann – Certificate 2 in Dance was a great opportunity to understand the many important elements of the dance industry. We undertook exercises, research, experienced performances, learnt from professionals and performed throughout this course. I was able to learn more about the technical foundation of dance, recognise the history and growth of this art and apply newfound knowledge backstage to understand the many components that help to create a dance performance. This course helped broaden my perspective of the performing arts and become even more fascinated by the industry.
