Secondary School Ensemble Concert

What a wonderful night of celebrations at the Secondary School Ensemble Concert on Tuesday 25 June. We bid our Year 12 farewell and thanked them for their service to Music, as well as listened to some brilliant performances from all of our ensembles. The theme was “A Night at the Oscars” and each group played music from the movies.

On Thursday 27 June our Music Support Group provided lunch for the outgoing Year 12 students, where they passed the baton to our incoming prefects and captains: Performing Arts Captains – Elizabeth Tang (Year 11) and Madeline Taylor (Year 11); Music Prefect – Phoebe Cooper (Year 11); Orchestra Captain – Dasha Stuzenko (Year 10); Band Captain – Angela Zhang (Year 10); Choir Captain – Joanna Au (Year 10).

Congratulations to Isabel Fan (Year 7) – A.Mus on piano

A communication was sent out through the portal recently about the changes to rehearsals for Terms 3 and 4 to accommodate the tour group. Please go through this carefully so as not to sign up for any clashing events. This will hopefully allow families to have weekends together.

TOUR SINGERS – Monday evening 6.00pm to 7.00pm

TOUR STRING PLAYERS – Thursday morning 6.50am to 8.00am

TOUR BAND PLAYERS – Wednesday morning 6.50am to 8.00am,

STAGE BAND – Thursday 3.30pm to 5.00pm

COMBINED REHEARSALS – Friday afternoon 3.30pm to 5.30pm

All non-tour members will attend their respective large ensemble rehearsals:

STRING and BAND players – Monday String Orchestra, Monday Concert Band

JAZZ musicians – will go to Tuesday Jazz Band

SINGERS will attend choir or chorale

FRIDAY MORNING ORCHESTRA is still on at the same time for the same people.
