On Wednesday 19 June, our Pymble 1 team was fired up ready for redemption against a very strong Abbotsleigh side. Last time these two teams met was in round 2 with a very tight game played and final score a 1 to 1 draw. As our Pymble hockey players arrived for the Division 1 Grand-final, there was a fearless energy with the team looking strong in their warm up and ready and willing to do whatever it takes to take the win.

Pymble absolutely dominated the entire game whether attacking or defending making it difficult for Abbotlseigh to come back in the game. The final score, and a well earnt result for Pymble, was a win – 5 to 0!

Pymble 1 have worked very hard this season continuing to build and grow their Hockey skills at training and when they have taken the field. This clearly showed in the Grand-final game as they were unstoppable and executed everything that was asked of them.

Congratulations to our Hockey Captain, Isabelle Johnston (Year 11), for receiving best and fairest in the Grand Final match last week!

A big shout out to parents, carers and supporters showing up every week for our Mollie Dive Games and making sure all players were on time for their warmup and game. We truly couldn’t have done it without you!

To our Coaching team – thank you for your efforts in continuing to develop our players and make them the best they can be.

Last, but certainly not least, thank you to all students who participated in Mollie Dive this term. Your efforts throughout trainings, games and the way you have represented Pymble has been fantastic. We can’t wait to see you in Term 3 for igsa Hockey!
