Athletics and Cross Country

Just a friendly reminder of the below:

Holiday Athletics and Cross Country training will take place on Monday 22 April and Wednesday 24 April (Week 2 of the holidays) from 8.00am to 9.30am. Please meet in the usual location at the GMCPA. 

Athletics

In the holidays, Adelaide will host the Australian Track and Field Championships. This event will double as the Olympics trials, World Junior trials and the under 18 Oceania trials. Among the participants, Pymble boasts 16 current students and nine alumni. Notably, some alumni, like Mackenzie Little and Kristie Edwards, are contending for Olympic selection. Here’s to a successful championship for all past and present athletes, and we will be cheering them on every step, jump and throw.

Pymble Students  – Sybella Warton (Year 10), Georgia Phillips (Year 12), Eliza Lawton (Year 8), Louise Lovell (Year 11), Matilda Harrison (Year 10), Sarah Baker (Year 12), Grace Peters (Year 10), Grace Townsend (Year 11), Eloise Stewart (Year 9), Grace Beck (Year 10), Samara Bond (Year 11), Amalia Bond (Year 8), Jocelyn Blair (Year 10), Sophia Slater (Year 11), Gemma Dixon (Year 8) and Claudia Wyatt (Year 8).

Pymble Alumni – Mackenzie Little, Kristie Edwards, Olivia Inkster, Rhedyn Wong, Brianna Worsfold, Gabriella Taylor, Kailyn Joseph, Sienna Bond and Imogen Breslin.

Cross Country

Tuesday morning saw a remarkable turnout for our second cross country trial, setting a promising tone as we approach the IGSA Championships in just five weeks. The strides and enhancements witnessed today by Mr. Garrad and myself are a testament to the athletes’ dedicated and consistent training. Let’s harness this momentum and continue the outstanding work.
