Athletics and Cross Country

On Friday 3 November, the annual Pymble Sportswomen’s Awards dinner was held. It was exciting to see our Nationals Teams Challenge Senior team, who were crowned National Champions last December in Adelaide, win the Representative Team of the Year. The team included Tessa Newitt (Year 10), Georgia Phillips (Year 11), Gabriella Taylor (Year 12), Rhedyn Wong (Year 12), Sienna Bond (Alumni 2022), Olivia Inkster (Alumni 2022) and Brianna Worsfold (Alumni 2022).

Congratulations to our Pymble athletes who received an award:

Cross Country Athlete of the Year

Eliza Lawton (Year 7). Eliza dominated every race in the season, including winning the National Championships.

Athletics Athlete of the Year

Matilda Harrison (Year 9). Matilda won both the Australian All Schools 200m and Australian Junior Championships and 3rd in the 100m.

Para Athlete of the Year

Yi Ying Lim (Year 12).  Yi Ying is the inaugural winner of this award – congratulations.

Strive for the Highest in Cross Country

Congratulations to the following athletes: Gemma Dixon (Year 7), Abigail Ballhausen (Year 12), Yi Ying Lim (Year 12), Lucia O’Dea (Year 12).

Congratulations to the following athletes: Amalia Bond (Year 7), Eliza Lawton (Year 7), Grace Beck (Year 9), Samara Bond (Year 10), Sybella Warton (Year 10), Sarah Baker (Year 11) and Rhedyn Wong (Year 12).

Congratulations to Tessa Newitt (Year 10) and Sophia Slater (Year 10) who competed at the NSW Open State 3km Championships at E.S. Marks on Saturday 4 November.
