Cricket
It was a wet dreary day on Saturday 4 November and unfortunately our Pymble 2 team had to abandon their match halfway through due to the weather.
Luckily, the weather had cleared later in the afternoon for our Pymble 1 team to take the pitch against our old foe, Abbotsleigh. Our fearless captain, Dezi Magann-Jones (Year 10), top-scored with ten runs, hitting two boundaries in her innings. Tia Pillai (Year 7), Alice Mao (Year 9), Indigo Meldrum (Year 7) and Charlotte Henderson (Year 8) all batted well and were able to contribute to the total score
In the bowling attack Tia Pillai (Year 7) secured a wicket and Indigo Meldrum (Year 7) and Miesha Gal (Year 7) were strong with the ball with the opposition struggling to get runs off their overs. After a tough hit out, Abbotsleigh just snuck home and surpassed our total of 64 runs.
Northern Schools Cup
This Friday 10 November, Round 1 of the Northern Schools District Cup takes place, with Pymble playing Abbotsleigh at Knox Gillespie Fields. This competition is a great chance for our club and school students to join forces to represent the College! Good luck to our Pymble cricketers!
