It’s a collaborative space where you can get a helping hand from teachers and fellow students whenever you’re stuck. And, when we aren’t diving into textbooks, we mix things up with occasional puzzles, brainteasers, and maths-based games to keep things fresh.
When: Tuesdays (3:30–4:30 pm) & Wednesday lunchtimes
Where: Jarnosse
Join Us for Pi Day!
Every year on March 14th, mathematicians, scientists, and pun-lovers around the world pause to celebrate one of nature’s most intriguing numbers: (Pi). From the orbits of planets to the structure of a DNA helix, circles are the building blocks of our universe—and is the key that unlocks them.
To celebrate this year, the Maths Club is hosting a special series of Recitation Workshops. Have you ever wondered how people manage to recite hundreds of digits of Pi? It’s not magic, it’s strategy.
We will be teaching proven memorization techniques, including:
Chunking: Breaking long strings of numbers into digestible “bites.”
Loci Method: Associating numbers with physical locations.
Rhythm & Patterning: Turning digits into a melodic sequence.
Whether you want to learn ten digits or a hundred, these workshops are a fantastic way to sharpen your brain and gain some serious bragging rights for your next family dinner.
When: During Maths Club on 18th March
Location: Jarnosse
Time: Lunchtime
Come for the math, stay for the techniques, and leave ready to impress. We look forward to seeing you there!
