Arithmetic Olympics

The Mathematics Department at our school recently hosted an exhilarating event that had numbers flying and minds racing—the Arithmetic Olympics! This term, Year 7 and 8 students eagerly participated, with each class sending forth their finest arithmetic talents to compete.

After rounds of intense calculations and strategic thinking, two outstanding students emerged victorious. In the Year 7 category, Hannah Lau showcased her mathematical prowess, claiming the top spot with confidence. Meanwhile, in the Year 8 category, Emily Barrett demonstrated exceptional skill and precision, securing her well-deserved first place.

The competition was fierce and showcased the dedication and hard work of all participants. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Emily Barrett and Hannah Lau for their remarkable achievement. A big round of applause goes out to all the participants who made this event a resounding success. Your enthusiasm and commitment have set a high standard for mathematical excellence at our school. Well done!

As we conclude another thrilling chapter of the Arithmetic Olympics, we thank the Mathematics Department and in particular, Ms Nguyen for organising such an engaging and inspiring competition.
