Year 11 Music attended Sydney Conservatorium of Music

Year 11 Music recently attended an excursion to the Sydney Conservatorium of Music. They were fortunate to attend an evening concert which was a staff recital featuring violin and piano, that included works by Mozart, Margaret Sutherland and Bartok. The excursion was to support their coursework for HSC Music 1 and Music 2. Students were able to see a professional music performance up close; admiring the expression, stylistic interpretation and exploration of musical elements by the performers. Students were mesmerised by the melodic interplay in the Mozart, amazed by the delicate harmonies in the Sutherland and surprised by the wide variety of instrumental techniques in the Sutherland. We also enjoyed the local eateries and the VIVID lights.
