The MSCW Chess team proudly took part in the Sydney Catholic Schools Conference 2 Chess tournament at Marist College, Eastwood, demonstrating remarkable talent and commitment.

The event highlighted the students’ strategic thinking and analytical abilities, fostering a spirit of friendly competition and intellectual growth.

MSCW Cross Country

The annual MSCW Cross Country Carnival was held on Tuesday 6 May

Congratulations to the 163 students for their outstanding participation at the recent Cross Country Carnival. 

The House with the most participation points was Perroton 1st with Jaricot 2nd and Colin 3rd 

We also congratulate the 2025 Age Champions and Runners Up.

NSW CCC Cross Country Championships

A huge congratulations to the dedicated MSCW students who proudly represented Sydney Catholic Schools at the esteemed NSW CCC Cross Country Championships at the Sydney Equestrian Centre.

These talented athletes showcased their skills against the top female competitors in the Catholic system.

  • 12 years age group: Lily Taverniti secured 32nd place, while Amber Melhem finished 36th.
  • 15 years age group: Erica Jago claimed 30th place.
  • 17 years All Abilities: Emma Websdale achieved an impressive 2nd place.
  • 18+ years age group: Isabel Chand took 10th place, Miah O’Shea placed 11th and Rosie Tozer came in 19th.

A fantastic effort by all MSCW students, demonstrating their dedication and talent in such a highly competitive arena.

Special recognition goes to Isabel Chand and Emma Websdale, who will now advance to represent NSW CCCC at the NSW All Schools Cross Country Championships later in July.
