College Co-Captains Report

Dear MSCW Community,

As the College Co-Captains we are so excited to be working with the Woolwich community to foster an environment of inclusion and belonging both within and beyond the gates.

The Student Leadership Team theme; ‘Ignite Your Light, Together We Shine’ reflects our goals for the College over the next twelve months. We aim to ignite the light of each individual so that we may shine as a collective. 

As leaders we will strive to unlock the potential within each student and enhance their unique gifts and talents. We will inspire students to have courage to embrace their skills across all areas, by providing the community with a wide range of opportunities and initiatives, one of which we will introduce.

In honour of the current athletes representing Australia at the 2024 Paris Olympics and Paralympics, the Student Leadership Team are hosting the Marist Mini Olympics at the College over the upcoming weeks. We are conducting a wide array of inclusive activities and events in line with the diverse talents within the community, including an inter-house Olympic themed art competition, seated volleyball and sprints up our steep driveway.

Houses will compete against one another to earn points which contribute to the House Cup awarded at the end of the year. We encourage MSCW students to participate in the events offered, not only as a tribute to the 2024 Olympics, but to recognise the incredible abilities in our community. We will have lots of fun along the way!
