Mary MacKillop Day – Tuesday 20th August 2019 – Invitation to Parents

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the 2019 celebrations of Mary MacKillop Day on Tuesday 20th August. As per our Catholic tradition, we begin the day with a celebration of our faith through Mass. In the afternoon our students and staff will showcase their talents in our annual talent quest and the day will conclude with a picnic lunch.

Below is an outline of the day:

9.30am – 11.30am:  Mary MacKillop Day Mass and Awards Ceremony (please arrive at the College by 9.15am)

12.00pm – 1.30pm:  Annual Mary MacKillop talent quest, MacFactor, showcasing junior, senior and staff talent to celebrate the diversity of gifts and talents of our community.

1.30pm – 2.45pm:  Picnic lunch, food stalls and music. 

To ensure the safety of all community members, as you enter the College you will be asked to sign in at the Front Office and wear a special tag. Parents and Year 12 2018 students are invited to spend the whole or part of the day with the community.

Please note that students will not be allowed to leave early unless they have provided a medical reason or an emergency has occurred.    

Due to limited space, there will be NO parking onsite, and we ask that you observe all road and parking rules and respect the local residents privacy and property at all times. In accordance with Sydney Catholic Schools privacy requirements, we also ask parents and Year 12 2018 students to abide by the College Mobile Phone Policy and not take any photos or videos during their attendance on Mary MacKillop Day,. 

To ensure we can sufficiently cater and prepare for the day, please RSVP your attendance at this year’s Mary MacKillop Day festivities by 9.00am Monday 12th August 2019.

 

Father’s Day Mass and Breakfast – Wednesday 28th August 2019

We are inviting all fathers and other significant men in the lives of our students (uncles, grandfathers, Godfathers) to join their daughter(s) at our special Father’s Day Mass and Breakfast to be held on Wednesday 28th August 2019.  We will commence with Mass at 7.15am in the College Chapel and at the conclusion of Mass we will be serving a hot breakfast of bacon and egg rolls with juice/tea/coffee.

We hope that this continues to become a special annual event, much like the ones held in primary schools and some secondary schools. We look forward to celebrating the special role that our fathers and other significant men play in our lives.
