Year 9
A short, quiet focused week was had for Year 9 students this week with many spending their time refining, editing and submitting their assessment tasks for this term.
On Wednesday, our Middle Years Leaders along with School Vice-Captain (Year 6 to Year 9) Madhavi Chauhan (Year 12) presented their final Middle Years Assembly for the term. They shared in the successes of their peers and recognised the many and varied events occurring at the School, this week and next.
Thursday, during Luminary, was a time for pause and relaxation. Students were guided through a meditation to take a moment to be mindful and to try and centre themselves during a busy week. Martina Stolzi brought in her colourful hula hoops and many students took on the opportunity to learn or practice a new, enjoyable skill.
Friday saw us have our final Year Meeting of the term. I took the opportunity to remind students to make the most of a three-week break from school. Whether they are travelling or not it is the opportunity to unwind, relax and enjoy some time away from the sometimes chaotic and busy experience of being in Year 9.
A reminder to all students that the blazer is the external garment of the Winter Uniform. It must be worn to and from School each day (even if you are only moving from training onto the main campus).
