Year 8

Year 8

Welcome back Year 8 families and students. I am looking forward to another wonderful year. It was fantastic to see the students return in beautiful uniform, excited to see their friends, mostly excited to see their teachers and ready to go. The students were excited to move into their new lockers which are now placed below their Year 12 ‘Big Sister’ so that we can continue to develop their vertical connections here at school.

We are beginning the year with a few new rules that I would like to reiterate here.

Phone usage and headphone usage

Students are not to have their phones out at all when on school grounds. This means from the moment they are on campus, until they leave, their phones should be in their bags, and bags are in lockers during the day. Students should lock their lockers to ensure their belongings remain safe. Headphones/airpods are only permitted to be worn around school if a student has a Headphone Pass given to them by their Head of Year. Students should not be arriving at, or leaving school with headphones on, or around their necks. Students are permitted to carry headphones with them in their laptop bags to use in class if directed by their teacher.

Next Monday 4 February 2026, is School Photo Day, so please make sure the hair, uniform and jewellery are perfect, including polished shoes and minimal make up.  Please read more by clicking here.

I hope you all rest up after a big first week and have a chance to get ready for Week 2!
