Year 8

Welcome back Year 8 families! It was a joy to see the Year 8 girls on Tuesday morning as we began our Term with a Year Meeting, followed by time with their Luminaries. We discussed lots of exciting things that are coming up for Year 8, including Student Representative Council nominations, Middle Years Leadership, Cadets, Adventure Camp and Rollover! I encourage you to speak to your child about what they are looking forward to taking on in Year 9.

Just a few reminders and updates:

• Electives and Book Lists – please ensure books have been ordered for the start of Year 9. Unless students have had a specific discussion with Dr Paul Batten, you can assume their chosen electives are going ahead, and you can purchase anything necessary for those subjects.
• Adventure Camp – please ensure you have completed all the forms for the upcoming camp. Click here to see original email with links, sent last term. There are consent and medical forms you are required to complete on the Lands Edge portal. Additionally, there is a permission form on the MLC Parent Portal. Parents must complete both forms in both locations by Monday 16 October 2023. Camp is a compulsory event and whilst there are various and challenging aspects for students, it is such a great life experience
