Year 7
Thank you to all the families who tuned in to the Year 7 to Year 9 Parent Webinar on Online Safety with the Director of eLearning, Marianna Carlino. We hope that it was informative and useful for opening conversations with your family about safe online practices, learning and boundaries. During our Year Meeting this week, Year 7 also viewed a presentation on online safety and have been asked to sign the Cyber Safety Pledge on page 11 of the Student Diary. Students have also been asked to sign the Technology guidelines on page 156. Over the weekend your child should be asking you to view this as both of these sections of the diary require a parent signature. We request your support in ensuring your child abides by the rules set out in these parts of the diary, for a successful journey through high school.
This week also saw a really special ANZAC service, followed by a Luminary Peer Support session with Year 10. In the Peer Support sessions Year 10 build their leadership skills and help Year 7 build vertical support systems through fun games and activities. Year 7 will have two more Peer Support sessions with Year 10 throughout the term.
The countdown is now on until camp – three weeks of school to go! There are around 15 outstanding permissions so please log onto Omnia and approve this as soon as possible.
Have a wonderful weekend, especially to all the mother’s and mother figures in our lives. Please reach out to your daughters Luminary or teachers if you have any questions.
