Year 7
Congratulations to all of Year 7 on reaching the end of Term 3! As always, this term is one that is busy and filled with lots of interesting, fun activities alongside the academic expectations of assessments and learning across the full range of subjects.
Our Pastoral Care program this term has been centred on Courage, with students being encouraged to support their peers and stand up against behaviour they deem to be inappropriate. This continued with a final Year 10 Peer Support workshop on Thursday. Students were guided through activities and discussions about valuing the perspectives of others and navigating conflict in relationships. Thank you to Year 10 for your confident, mature approach in support of students in Year 7.
This week we also farewelled Year 12 and I’d like to take this opportunity to wish them well on their journey through their examinations and all that they pursue beyond school. For many students this would have been their first experience of Senior School Valedictory experiences such as the Year 12 Final Assembly on the Bird Bath Quad and the Senior School Guard of Honour accompanied by Taiko performers through the grounds of the Senior Campus.
I wish all of Year 7 and their families a wonderful three-week break. I trust you will all enjoy the rest, relaxation, and calm of some time together, some sunshine and perhaps some journeys of your own.
School returns for all students and the start of Term 4, Tuesday 15 October 2024 with everyone in full Summer Uniform.
