Year 7
Congratulations, we have made it to the end of Term 3! Year 7 have made significant progress across the term in relation to their confidence, organisational skills and pride in themselves and their school. There have been challenges for a number of students as well, but it has been wonderful to see the students helping their peers up when they are down.
Next term we have four weeks of our regular timetable and classes, and then in Week 5 (Monday 7 November 2022) the students ‘rollover’ into Year 8. At the end of Week 4 students will be given their new timetables and new classes. It can be exciting but it is also a big change and some students may feel out of their comfort zone as they have become very accustomed to their current class peers and teachers. We will do our best in Luminary time to help prepare the students for this change and encourage you to do the same at home. Change can be really positive and taking steps into what feels unknown is something we do throughout life.
I want to also congratulate the Year 7 band Token Prawn on their amazing performance at the Battle of the Bands – there was so much crowd support and I can see future Battle of the Bands champions in the making.
Reminder: Next term is summer uniform from Day 1, Tuesday 11 October 2022! I know the students will be looking smart and appropriate when they walk in the gates in Term 4.
Have a safe and restful break, and I look forward to seeing the students and you all in Term 4.
