Year 11

It’s been a delight to have the students back on campus and the cohort set the tone on Tuesday morning, joyfully welcoming the rest of the School as part of their gate duty. They seem to have carried that spirit into the rest of the week, and it’s felt like a positive start all round.

The students did seem a little surprised when I spoke to them on Tuesday to stress that this term is very important in laying foundations for next year. Whilst there may not be an exam block, there is a lot of work to do to ensure they are regularly consolidating their subject knowledge and refining their skills. All students should be seeking out their teachers to ask specific questions about how they can improve. The Semester 2 reports will be published soon, prior to the Parent Teacher interviews on Wednesday 25 October 2023. It’s useful if your daughter has identified specific areas to focus on prior to the interviews to ensure a fruitful discussion in the limited time that we have.

We have also turned our focus to the Year group retreat, which takes place from Monday 30 October to Thursday 2 November 2023. In Wednesday’s assembly, we celebrated the new Sports Sub-Captains who will work with Sports Captain Lizzy Bieri in the coming year. As 2024 is an Olympic year it promises to be an exciting year for the team. Congratulations to:
