Year 10
This week in our Year meeting, we celebrated the many achievements of our Year 10 students. It’s so important to recognise and acknowledge their successes, both inside and outside the classroom. I encouraged Year 10 to continue sharing their accomplishments with me and their Luminary – we love hearing about the amazing things they’re doing beyond school. We’re incredibly proud of how well they balance their academic commitments with a wide range of other interests. Below are some photos of our Year 10 Cadets and Mathematicians. Well done to all involved!
On Wednesday, Year 10 took part in an important pastoral care session with Paul Dillon on Young People, Alcohol and Risk Taking: Looking After Your Mates. The talk provided practical strategies for keeping themselves and their friends safe when socialising, while also debunking common myths around alcohol, vaping, and drug use. Year 10 engaged excellently with the presentation and the feedback highlighted the importance of educating and equipping our students. As part of this program, they will continue to hear from Paul Dillon over the next two years ensuring they have the knowledge and understanding of navigating the world around them.
