Year 10
We have come to the end of a busy term for Year 10 with Subject Selection interviews, finalising courses and subject selections, a rigorous assessment schedule and planning for immersions. The cohort have an exciting final term of Year 10 ahead with the New Zealand and Sydney immersions, along with preparations for Year 11 including leadership components and it will be an enjoyable time for them after they have put in the hard work this term.
You should have received a comprehensive email from Sarah Jauncey, Director of Experiential Learning, regarding the respective immersion that was selected please click on the relevant link below for a copy of either email for Sydney Urban Challenge or New Zealand Trip.

Year 10 New Zealand Trip 2024
It is our special time in the calendar of the School where we say goodbye to Year 12 and this has impacted Year 10 knowing that they only have two short years to go. Year 12 are regularly telling us all that time goes quickly, and what is ahead for the cohort has begun to sink in.
Our Year 10 Peer Support leaders led a wonderful session on Thursday 19 September with Year 7 on Relationships. Year 7 were taught about perspective and managing conflict with their peers. I am very proud of the work that our Peer Support leaders put in towards making these sessions beneficial for Year 7 along with the support from Andrew Taylor, Deputy Head of Senior School – Pastoral Care.
First day back for students is Tuesday 15 October 2024 and Summer uniform is required. This will include the School skirt to the knee and short navy socks. The School pants are not part of the Summer uniform. Please discourage extra piercings, nail lacquer, hair colour that is unnatural in appearance and other adornments that would not be part of the uniform over the break that cannot be changed before returning to school.
I wish everyone a wonderful and safe break and I hope Year 10 get to have a big rest while they can. There are several immersions this break, Culture College, World of Wearable Arts, New Zealand and the Art and Design Tour to Europe and I wish those students a rewarding time.
