Year 10
Illuminate 2023 lit up the Senior Centre this week with lots of contributions and beautiful art pieces from Year 10 students. The Photography and Digital Media exhibition was excellent, with portraits and images that shone from the wall on Level 1. Our image this week is of Charlotte Penny (Year 10) and Cassia Davies (Year 10) generously giving their time to help younger students on the origami stall.
The Senior Years Drama Production last week was an adaptation of Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice, with Amelia Armstrong (Year 10) and Christina Coffey (Year 10) in the cast and Olivia Walker (Year 10) on stage crew. They worked incredibly hard in rehearsal and with the Year 11 and Year 12 students to bring the Austen classic to life in the Drama Theatre.
On Thursday, Year 10 students had the opportunity to complete the Mission Australia Youth Survey. Further information about the survey can be found here. The survey is confidential and anonymous and is designed to be a snapshot of Australian youth and their concerns.
Uniform for Year 10 students continues to be monitored as students enter campus every morning. Girls are directed to the Head of Year office and Wellbeing Centre to obtain a uniform pass if needed. The girls are very good at doing this and are taking responsibility for their uniform. A reminder that MLC School hoodies and sports uniform are not to be worn, unless for sport or Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) classes. Jumpers and cardigans need to be worn with the School blazer when entering campus and leaving school.
