Senior Years Wakakirri Shine On Stage!

On Tuesday 29 July, our Senior Years Wakakirri team took to the stage with their powerful and moving performance, I Am Sam—a story that follows one character’s journey to self-acceptance.

Their phenomenal storytelling, commitment to excellence, and unwavering support of one another were evident both on and off the stage. This spirit of collaboration and unity was recognised by the Wakakirri team with the presentation of the Spirit of Wakakirri Award for Tuesday night’s heat event.

Wakakirri Ambassador feedback described the performance as ‘A bold and energetic performance that left a lasting impression, brought to life by a cast whose commitment and connection to the story was truly inspiring.’

We are incredibly proud of the students for their creativity, courage, and the way they represented MLC School with such pride and passion. We look forward to sharing further results as the NSW heats draw to a close.

Mark your calendars for Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 September, when our Year  3 – Year 12 dancers will take the NIDA Parade stage for the annual MLC School Dance Showcase, this year titled ‘Once Upon a Time’.
