Year 7 Experience Day

The Year 7 Experience Day was all about helping our incoming Year 7 2026 students get a feel for life at our school. This was a follow up to our Excitement Day for our MLC School Year 6 students that happened earlier in the term.

The day was carefully planned so that the students could feel welcome in their new school, try out different classes, meet teachers, and make new friends in a welcoming setting.

The students experienced Luminary circles with Alistair Roland, Head of Students – Year 7 to Year 9, Amy Murphy, Fiona Pow, Head of Students – Year 10 to Year 12 and Andrew Taylor, Deputy Head of Senior School – Wellbeing; hieroglyphics in History with Vicky Zinnopoulos, Ashleigh Leck and Katie Clarke, relays in Personal Development, Health and Physical Education (PDHPE) with Sarah Papachristoforou, Head of Department – PDHPE, Andrew Simos, Consultant – Professional Learning, PDHPE and Performance and Emily Osbourne. A murder mystery and Mathematics Scrabble – Mabble! in Mathematics with Eugenie Tan, Monica Lee and Stavroula Koulouris and singing and dancing with Assistant Head of Languages, Natasha Collins, Julian Hanuna, Heidy Frew and Helena Wang culminating with a zooper dooper (who knew orange was the least popular flavour?!)  It really was a fabulous experience for our incoming Year 7s, the Class of 2031.

Senior School House Athletics carnival

This year’s Senior School House Athletics Carnival was an explosion of House Spirit, colour, and heart that brought our whole School community together in a celebration of friendly rivalry and teamwork. My favourite part as always was the cheer-off!

Laughter, encouragement and determination (including a Macarena dance off and an aerobics challenge) filled the air as each house strove for victory – not just in points, but in camaraderie and enthusiasm. The carnival wasn’t just about speed or strength; it was about uplifting one another, embracing the spirit of competition, and making memories that will last long after the track has cleared. The energy, joy, and togetherness on display truly embodied what it means to be part of our School.
