Distinctions in Trinity College of London Examination

Congratulations to Year 9 students, Aryana Sah and Anisha Sivaguranathan who achieved a Distinction in their Grade 7 Trinity College of London examination in Performance Arts.

Aryana and Anisha’s exam piece was a devised performance based on “Picnic at Hanging Rock” by Joan Lindsay and the play adaptations by Tom Wright and Laura Annawyn Shamas. They had to incorporate a number of performance skills of their choice. They used drama, film, voice overs, poetry and prose. The second component of their exam was to give a demonstration and talk about a contributory performance skill they used which was script devising. The third component of the exam was a response to set questions relating to their exam content. This was a digital exam which was filmed and then marked by a London Examiner.

Anisha and Aryana are long term Speech and Drama students commencing lessons in their first year at school 11 years ago. They consistently work hard and deliver, achieving Distinctions and High Distinctions in all their TRINITY and ASCA exams as well as placing in every Eisteddfod they compete in yearly. We are so proud of Anisha and Aryana for being such wonderful representatives of The Speech and Drama Studio and MLC School in our wider community and internationally.
