da Vinci Decathlon

da Vinci Decathlon

Nothing can deter our high potential students from attending the Knox da Vinci Decathlon Competition.  For some, it was arriving at school at 6:45am after the magnificent Opera House concert.  For others it was getting to Knox despite the chaos of Sydney trains.  When it appeared, we might have been stuck on Hornsby Station, I heard girls offer to pay for an Uber to Warrawee – we can’t miss the first challenge!

All of our teams from Year 5 through to Year 11 had a wonderful time competing with hundreds of like-minded students from across the Sydney metropolitan area.  The event enriches, excites and challenges students to think hard, strategise and work effectively as a team. Our girls exceled and gave their very best.  While the final results for the event will be published in the coming fortnight, we did have some placings on the day:

  • Year 10: 1st in Engineering
  • Year 11: 1st in English, 3rd in Cartography, 3rd in Creative Producers
  • Year 6:   3rd in Science

Congratulations to all the girls involved and a special thank you to the teachers who helped train and support the girls for this event.
