I am thrilled to share some fantastic news with you all! Our talented tennis players, Harlow Elsibai (Year 9) as well as Chiarah Nguyen (Year 8) and Yasmine Allam (Year 8), have made it to the semi-finals of the Interdistrict Wade & Neal Cup Division 3. Despite a challenging start to the competition, these remarkable girls have shown incredible determination and skill, adjusting their game to reach this impressive stage.
This is yet another significant step towards becoming champions and proudly representing MLC School Tennis. Their hard work and dedication have truly paid off.
If you have some free time on Sunday 14 September 2025, we would love for you to join us in cheering loudly for these outstanding players. Your support would mean the world to them as they continue their journey towards victory.
Let’s come together and show our unwavering support for Harlow, Chiarah, and Yasmine as they compete in the semi-finals. Go MLC School Tennis!
After a challenging interdistrict season, as we look ahead to the IGSSA and IPSHA competitions next term, I wanted to take a moment to congratulate our five MLC School teams for their unwavering commitment and passion every Sunday afternoon.
A big round of applause to the 20 girls who proudly represented MLC School Tennis in the interdistrict season!
Your fantastic attitude and sportsmanship were truly the highlights of the season.
You showed incredible dedication by training hard every week, preparing yourselves for competition every Sunday afternoon.
I also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the parents and players. The delicious and generous catering you provided on a regular basis was wonderful and greatly appreciated. Your support and efforts created a positive and enjoyable atmosphere for everyone involved.
As we move forward to Term 4, I am eagerly looking forward to witnessing the same level of dedication and enthusiasm. Let’s continue to support each other, train hard, and aim for excellence in the upcoming IGSSA and IPSHA seasons.
Looking forward to another great term ahead, with more matches!

Over the weekend, gymnasts, Mia Waterhouse (Year 9), Sophia Hu (Year 10), Chantel Huda (Year 8), and Eloise Dastyari (Year 6) competed at Intermediate State Championships achieving great results as this is the biggest competition of the season for Level 5-7. Unfortunately Emma Cook (Year 6) and I had qualified for State Championships but were unable to compete due to injury and illness.
Everyone competed well with Mia (Year 9) placing 4th on bars in Level 7 Division 4, Sophia (Year 10) performing a highly scored vault in Level 7 Division 4, Chantel hitting all of her routines in Level 6 Division 4 and Eloise (Year 6) was crowned the State Champion on Beam and placed 5th Overall in Level 5 Division 4.
Overall everyone had a great competition and should be so proud of themselves and despite being unable to compete which was disappointing I was proud to go watch and support my teammates.
