From the Head of Junior School

It has been a very successful first term for 2026, thanks to the dedication of our talented staff and the commitment and support of our parents and carers. Our wonderful P&F have also worked tirelessly throughout the term, and I take this opportunity to thank them sincerely for all they do to support our school community.

Staffing News

As Term 1 concludes, I would like to thank our treasured Junior School Teacher Assistant, Deborah Doyle, better known as ‘Miss Debbie’, and our much‑loved teacher, Eddie Park, who are leaving us at the end of this term. We are grateful for the care, warmth and commitment Deb and Eddie have shown our girls, and we wish them both all the very best.

Cross Country

Congratulations to all the girls who participated in this week’s IPSHA Cross Country event at The King’s School. Many of the girls achieved personal best times, which is a wonderful achievement. Our sincere thanks go to our Sports and Facilities teams for their efforts in supporting our Junior School long‑distance runners and making the day such a success.

Pre-K to Year 5 Crazy Hair Day
Thank you parents for getting into the spirit supporting Crazy Hair Day. Please read the article from our Churunga House Patron, Bernadette Weston.

Easter Egg Drive
This initiative, led by our Junior School P&F, continues to be a meaningful opportunity for our girls to give back. While the Easter Bunny still visits our younger learners, eggs that would usually be received by students in Years 3 to 6 are instead donated to the Wayside Chapel and Exodus Foundation. Thank you to our girls for their generosity and compassion in supporting this worthy cause.

I would like to wish all girls an enjoyable holiday break. I hope each girl has the opportunity to relax, continue reading, and rejuvenate before returning refreshed and ready for all that Term 2 will bring. If your family is celebrating Easter, I wish you a very Happy Easter.

I look forward to welcoming the girls back in their full winter uniform when Term 2 commences for students on Tuesday 21 April 2026.
