Year 9

The time has come to go on camp! Next week Year 9 will either head off on Cadet camp or will be exploring Sydney on the Urban Challenge camp.

All cadet information has been shared via Xavier Maling. For those joining the Urban Challenge camp, here are some important things to note:

Students are to arrive and be seated in the Bird Bath Quad playground by 8.10am on Monday 30 March 2026.

The MLC School camp mobile number is: 0477 667 797

As the camp lead teacher, I will have this mobile. This number is for emergencies only. If a parent needs to be contacted during the camp, it will be via this number. Please do not message this number for general check ins – teachers will be busy spending time with your daughters, face to face, for the duration of the camp. 

As per the camp communication guidelines outlined in the Code of Conduct you can expect: an app message on arrival, one – two social media posts (not all students may be featured), and an app message regarding return time to school once we have left the camp site. 

As much as you might want to know that your child is alright, please do not allow them to take their phone or smartwatch or ask them to take these devices to camp. This is a device free camp.

Additionally, we request that students do not bring any valuables. We cannot guarantee that they won’t get lost.

Don’t forget to check in via the Urban Challenge website. There will be parent challenges where you can earn the teams more points.

I’m looking forward to seeing the growth of the students and I hope that all students have a fabulous week and thoroughly enjoy themselves.
