Year 10 PDHPE Develop Lifesaving Skills

Year 10 PDHPE Develop Lifesaving Skills

This term, our amazing Year 10 students have embraced a diverse practical program in swimming and lifesaving. From learning CPR technique to tackling complex water rescues, they developed vital lifesaving skills. Many also proudly achieved their Bronze Star Award, displaying their determination and practical capability.

In theory lessons, students have explored the complex issues of racism, stereotypes, and social justice. Through the documentary Freeman and a range of case studies, they examined the impact of racism on First Nation’s individuals and communities-reflecting on Cathy Freeman’s inspiring journey and her powerful role in promoting understanding and reconciliation through sport.

Whether they were diving into the pool or into important conversations, our Year 10 students showed what they’re made of: compassion, curiosity, and the courage to stand up and make a difference.  Wishing all our families a safe and happy holiday break.
