Prescott Puppy Pageant 2025: Another Pawsitively Unforgettable Celebration!
The 2025 Prescott Puppy Pageant dazzled audiences again, cementing its place as one of the most heartwarming and community-driven events of the year.
Competition-wise, leading the pack was Maxxie, guided by Tahlia Jeffery (Year 12), who opened the show with an unforgettable performance – stealing the spotlight and the crowd’s hearts, even in the absence of music. Trevor leapt into second place, impressing all with his boundless energy and athletic finesse. Fifi, led by the graceful Alison Wong (Year 12), took third place, charming the audience with her elegance and crowd-favourite appeal.
This year’s campaign launched a week earlier, igniting excitement and boosting fundraising efforts for Seeing Eye Dogs – Vision Australia through pre-sale tickets, tempting raffle prizes, and a delicious bake sale run by Year 10 students. The Prescott House Captains, Halle Hiss and Sky Humphries, have been working tirelessly behind the scenes since last term, mentoring a spirited organising committee and overseeing one of the most seamless and elaborate pageants in recent memory.
It was truly a family affair this year, with the campaign driven by Halle Hiss (House Captain) joined by cousin and Sky Humphries (House Vice-Captain), and Halle’s grandmother, who hand-knitted two stunning Prescott-themed blankets for the winners. Meanwhile, Michelle Hiss, Prescott House Patron, brought fresh energy to the campaign by launching the inaugural ‘Dress Up as a Dog Day’ across the Junior School – taking this year’s pageant to new heights. Students proudly paraded their puppy personas, adding a delightful new dimension to this already vibrant event.
A heartfelt thank you to all who made this year’s pageant possible. From students, teachers, staff, and families. Special appreciation goes to the 2025 Pageant Organising Committee for their stellar efforts in everything from poster design and donation collection to logistics, crowd control, and cleanup. To Michelle Hiss for going above and beyond in expanding the event’s reach and transforming this humble pageant to a cornerstone calendar event. Finally, the captains. Their proactive, passionate and unmatched dedication to both the pageant and the Illuminate project in amongst their busy study schedule presents a model for all other student leaders to come after.
Thanks to your support, this year’s pageant was a tail-wagging triumph. We can’t wait to see what the next year holds – bring on 2026! 🐾
