University Admissions and Support Pathways
There are a number of resources that have been shared with Year 12 students throughout the term. Following is a list that you may have missed or would like to revisit:
Please read through and use them to guide your next steps.
UAC Application
Students should aim to submit their UAC application before Term 3 begins.
Refer to the How to apply for unit through UAC if unsure.
You only need to list one course to start with – this locks in your application.
You can update your preferences later.
Don’t forget to apply for the Educational Access Scheme (EAS) if you’re eligible. Here’s a video to help you apply if unsure: How to apply for the Educational Access Scheme
Early Entry
Submit any Early Entry applications still outstanding. Most are simple and low-effort – you will need to upload Year 11 reports if you’re an IB student. Note: Macquarie University requires more detail – you’ll need to describe 2–3 activities you’ve taken part in (eg: leadership, part-time work, volunteering).
Interstate Applications
If you’re applying outside NSW, don’t forget to register with the relevant admissions centres:
- VTAC (Victoria) – edu.au
- QTAC (Queensland) – edu.au
- SATAC (South Australia) – edu.au
- TISC (Western Australia) – edu.au
Scholarships and References
If you’re applying for scholarships, residential colleges, or special programs that require a reference, complete the attached Reference Request Form and email it back to me. Try to give at least two weeks’ notice for reference requests – this helps us write something thoughtful and personal.
