Year 12 IB Collaborative Performances

Year 12 IB Collaborative Performances

IB Theatre is a multi-faceted subject that takes commitment, collaboration and a real love of Drama and Theatre. On Thursday night, 19 June, Year 12 HL presented their Collaborative Group Performances for a public audience which was filmed for submission as an assessment task to the IBO. The girls worked tirelessly throughout the term to produce thought-provoking, creative, works based on the practices of different theatre companies that they researched.

The diverse works saw The Perks of Being a Wallflower, a movement piece about the difficulty of human connection across all eras. Then 2B or not 2B highlighted the absurd flaws and the narrowness of current assessments. The group works drew many comments in the Q and A that followed, and the girls now go on to write a 10-page portfolio of their experiences.
