Year 12
Booralee House hosted our chapel service this week, led by the Rev. Vinnie Rivetali. House Captains Gabi Wilkie (Year 12) and Sophia Malas (Year 12) worked with luminary Sarah Papachristoforou to organise and present the readings. I wanted to share with you part of the service – the affirmation of faith, which discussed the themes of courage and generosity.
“We believe in courage…
courage to believe,
courage to stand up for the people we love,
courage to love without hesitation.
We believe in giving what we have.
We believe that actions of generosity change us.
We believe that these small acts can change the world.”
The Tuckwell Scholarship is a highly prestigious scholarship from the ANU and we are very fortunate to have three Year 12 students who have proceeded to the second round: Lana Goodall (Year 12), Tasha Wong (Year 12) and Sarina Nagra (Year 12). The process is very involved, and we wish them the absolute best for their applications.
Next week (starting Monday 12 May) in luminary – Year 8 will be preparing Big Sister Little Sister activities for their big sisters.
If you have concerns about your daughter’s progress, please contact the subject teacher. If you are seeking support for disability provisions or learning support, please contact myself or our Learning Enrichment faculty.
