Years 7 to 9 Parent Webinar: eLearning & Online Safety
The webinar covered several important topics to help parents and guardians support their children in the digital age. It addressed cyberbullying, highlighting its impact on students and offering strategies to prevent it. The session also emphasised the effective use of devices, encouraging students to use laptops and iPads responsibly both during school hours and at home. Parental monitoring was discussed, stressing the importance of keeping internet-enabled devices in common areas of the house and actively monitoring online activities. Additionally, the webinar recommended establishing family internet contracts to set clear rules and boundaries for screen time and online behaviour.
