International Nurse Appreciation Day: 12 May 2025

While there isn’t a specific ‘School Nurse Appreciation Day’ in Australia, the main day to celebrate nurses, including school nurses, is International Nurses Day, which is on Monday May 12 2025. 

This day commemorates the birth of Florence Nightingale and recognizes the vital role nurses play in healthcare. 

The 2025 theme is “Our Nurses. Our Future. Caring for nurses strengthens economies”. 

At MLC School, we have three nurses that run the health centre. They are dedicated and passionate, and we thank them for taking care of our girls.

The Health Centre is a safe place for our girls to attend for both physical and mental health concerns. 

They are well looked after and supported. Our girls and MLC School are lucky to have such wonderful and dedicated nurses.
