The Push Up Challenge 2023!

The Push Up Challenge 2023!

Last term, the Senior School participated in the 2023 Push Up Challenge, an active challenge to push for better mental health in Australia.

From Thursday 1 June to Friday 23 June, those taking part aimed to complete 3,144 push ups, which was the number of Australians who lost their lives to suicide in 2021.

Every day participants learned about mental health and how to take care of themselves. It was a great way to get active and have fun as a School with many fun active challenges in assemblies!

We did absolutely amazingly well as a community, entering 40 teams of students, staff and even our canteen and IT staff teams! We were able to raise a grand total of $28,298 and did 310,584 push ups altogether to place 14th in all of Australia out of over 1,700 communities! With this money we were able to fund 722 Lifeline phone calls to help those in need of support all across Australia.

A huge congratulations and thanks to all those who participated this year. Please click on the link below to watch a special thanks from The Push Up Challenge!
