Term 4 Charity and Service Learning
This week Churunga House hosted our Junior School Assembly following their recent chapel service. It was a beautiful assembly where our Churunga Service Captains launched the charity for this term, The Indigenous Literacy Foundation. You will receive information as to how the girls are supporting this important charity and our thanks to parents to assisting your daughters to support this worthwhile cause.
Year 4 to Year 6 Parent-Daughter Sessions
This week, in partnership with Rowena Thomas from Amazing Me, our Year 4 to Year 6 girls and their parents and carers were offered the opportunity to participate in information sessions about puberty. These evening workshops are offered as part of our Personal Development and Health program taught by our Junior School PDHPE staff.
Administration News
Today we say thank you and farewell to our Campus Administrator Alyson Arestan. Alyson has been an outstanding asset to our Junior School administration team and will be greatly missed. We wish her well. Our new Campus Administrator will be joining us at the beginning of the new academic year.
Year 6 Events
On Thursday evening Year 6 were on the dance floor at the much anticipated Year 6 Social, hosted by Trinity Preparatory School at Trinity Grammar Summer Hill. Year 6 cohorts from Trinity Junior and Trinity Prep Schools, PLC, Newington, Meriden and MLC School were all in attendance. It was pleasing to see the fun time they had as they reach the concluding stages of their final years of primary education.
Next week a significant highlight in the Junior School calendar is the Year 6 Dinner at The Daphne Line Hall. This dinner marks their milestone of completing their primary years of education. At our approaching Speech Day, the girls will be formally farewelled from the Junior School.
