Year 12
Congratulations to the 2023 cohort on beginning Year 12 this week. They are really looking the part as leaders of the School with their shiny Prefect badges.
Many students, particularly the HSC cohort, are pleased with their new timetables. They spent time with their Year 8 Little Sisters during Luminary on Monday helping them adjust, plan and reframe their attitudes. It was great to see the amount of conversation happening across the various Luminary rooms and encouraging to hear one Year 12 student recommend to their Little Sister in Year 8 that they should hand their phone into their parents, when the Year 8 student had complained they were not getting enough sleep.
The Year 12 Common Room and jerseys are privileges to look forward to. There are no other significant changes to privileges from Year 11 into Year 12. Hence, some students are requiring reminders about what they can and cannot be allowed to do with their Senior Passes. The Senior Pass allows them to arrive at 10.05am if they have a spare period in the morning or leave at 1.25pm if they have no more classes for the day.
Please support the School with the following conditions of their Senior Passes:
- If a student is unwell and has classes, they must sign out via the Nurse, not just have a parent text and leave school. This includes both medical and mental health conditions.
- All of Year 12 must be at school from at least 10.05am to 1.25pm.
- A student must sign in and sign out of school if they have spare periods in 1ab and 3ab.
- Once a student has signed into school, they are not allowed to sign out again until 1.25pm if they have a spare period in 3ab or until after an extension class if they have one after school.
The uniform has been looking great lately, thank you for all you do behind the scenes to encourage this to happen.
