Looming with LOVE – How You Can Help
Our looming group has started back this year with great passion and enthusiasm. There are more than 20 new members who had never used a loom before, and have now learned how to make a beanie. The beanies made during the year are donated to Hats for Homeless which hands out the beanies to aid agencies and women’s shelters across the state. Last year MLC School students and keen staff members, made and donated over 250 of the 3917 Hats for Homeless donated last year.
If you would like to support this group, we welcome wool donations. If you have some around the house, please send it in for us to turn into a beanie made with love and care. If you are a keen knitter, we would love to add your beanies to our donations, so please do send those in as well.
The Looming with Love group meets Tuesdays at lunchtime and girls willingly giving up their lunchtime to do something for others. The small gesture to create a quality product to give away to help someone in need, makes a profound impact for those who receive the beanies.
I am so proud of all the girls involved.
Blessings
