Macquarie [EX]plore Science Extension Conference

  • A full-day conference showcasing Year 12 HSC Science Extension research with presentations, posters, networking and lab tours.

Prepare for the Future of Work with Sydney’s Bachelor of Arts

  • Location: Online Webinar
  • Discover how USYD’s Bachelor of Arts builds adaptable skills like critical thinking, creativity and communication for an evolving workforce.

Sydney College of the Arts Portfolio Evening

  • Location: On-Campus (Camperdown) or Online
  • Future Bachelor of Visual Arts applicants can receive direct, one-on-one advice from academic staff to elevate their application portfolios.

UNSW Aviation Open Day 2026

  • Host: University of New South Wales
  • Date: Saturday, 19 September 2026
  • Location: UNSW Flying Operations Unit, Bankstown Airport
  • Tour the aircraft fleet, test out flight simulators and chat with flight instructors and current students about aviation pathways.

Astronomy Open Night by Macquarie University

  • An evening of stargazing and science featuring “The Big Cosmic Q&A” and specialized career sessions for high school students.

UNSW Careers 2040: STEM Careers Reimagined

  • Host: University of New South Wales
  • Date: Wednesday, 23 September 2026
  • Location: Museum of Contemporary Art Australia, Sydney
  • An interactive panel and networking event exploring how cross-disciplinary skills, emerging tech and lifelong learning shape future STEM careers.

Holiday Workshops & Practical Experiences

  • Macquarie Student Startup Bootcamp (Years 9–10): Friday, 18 September 2026 (Macquarie University) — A full-day workshop focused on building entrepreneurial skills, identifying real-world problems and pitching innovative ideas.
  • Sydney Design School Open Day: Saturday, 19 September 2026 (Sydney Design School) — Explore design studios, view student work and join interactive mood board workshops.
  • Quantum Tech Camp (Years 9–12): 29 September–1 October 2026 (Macquarie University or Online) — Hosted by Sydney Quantum Academy, this free 3-day camp offers coding challenges, quantum concepts and insights from local researchers.
  • Create for a Day at SAE Sydney: Saturday, 3 October 2026 (SAE Sydney Campus) — Studio-based holiday workshops in animation, audio, film, games, design and computer science.
