We are hopeful that next week will bring improved weather, allowing our students to participate in representative and local sports. 

Conference 2 Athletics Carnival 

This year was faced with the challenges of consistent downpour which resulted in SCS to make necessary adjustments to the carnival format. As a result, only track events were held and field events postponed through a nomination process to take place at the Sydney Championships Carnival. 

Tuesday 19 August Marist College Eastwood sent out a 37 Athletic Squad to compete in the track events at Conference 2 Athletics Carnival. 

Highlights of the day include the 15 boys 400m event where Oliver Brown had almost a 15m commanding lead to cross the line in first place. A stunning trifecta finish for our 17+ boys 100m dash where Jacob Hasrouni, Daniel Srour and Ashton Sawtell finished first, second and third place. Manuel Lacson was unstoppable achieving gold medals in both the 100m and 200m events as well as Julian Smith in 1500m and 800m.
