German excursions

A few weeks ago, all German classes had the opportunity to immerse themselves in German-speaking culture at the German Film Festival and Una’s Restaurant. Year 7 and 8 attended a screening of “Invisible Sue”, a thriller about twelve-year-old girl who gains the power to turn invisible and uses it to save her mother from a gang of villains. Years 9, 10 and 11 saw the film “tschick” about two teenagers who steal a car and go on a road trip that changes their lives. The novel “tschick” will be the German Extension prescribed text from 2020. After the film, all classes were able to indulge the Austrian specialities of Schnitzel and Strudel for lunch.
