Staff learn Chinese sound system

On the first Professional Learning Day this term, Teng Fei Dong & Jenny Xu, teachers of Chinese background, presented an overview to teaching staff on the Chinese sound system.  Staff had fun attempting to pronounce examples as they would like to say the names of colleagues, parents and students more accurately. Understandably individuals grow tired of correcting staff and they don’t like drawing attention to themselves.  Mr Dong and Ms Xu also talked about general perspectives of Chinese parents towards education.
