This Term we have celebrated our Year 3 Strings Program’s with their first Concertino!
Each year, Year 3 students get the unique opportunity to learn a stringed instrument, led by our devoted Kodály and Strings Specialist Teachers.
In this concert, students showed off their knowledge of the cello, violin and viola, and sat proudly with comfortable playing posture for our audience. They demonstrated musical skills like rhythm and beat, beautiful in-tune singing, pizzicato and arco playing styles, note reading and sol-fa, creative dance moves and even playing in up to 4 different parts!
We were joined by our wonderful and supportive music staff, and our Acting Head of Primary Mrs Thomas, who cheered our Year 3s on with great enthusiasm!
It has been a delight to see our Year 3s grow in confidence and in their love of music this semester!
