Technology Week 2022

This year we launched the inaugural technology week at Foundation Christian College. The amazing technology teaching team prepared four lunch time sessions with activities geared to stretch students 21st century skills.

Students were engaged with the following activities, that showcased the different technology areas within the College.

Monday: Students were challenged to create Vege Animal’s using only food! We saw some very creative interpretations of animals!

Tuesday: Students were challenged to work together to build a tower of cups without physically touching the cups with any part of their body. In true Mr Botha style students were also challenged to come up with the “best” dad joke.

Wednesday: Here we had students come together in the Goodwill Centre to compete in a Minecraft building challenge, a directional programming challenge using Probots and lastly they got to experience some amazing games designed by the Year 8 students.

Thursday: The engineering challenge set out was to use only skewer sticks and tape to hold up a brick paver. One team successfully made a 35cm tower which held a brick for over 10 seconds! WOW!
