Student Achievement – Ethan Peake

Ethan swims with Pinjarra Swimming Club and he was recognised at the recent School Sport WA Presentation Night.  Ethan, an MC swimmer was presented a Sportsmanship Award for his incredible actions at the National Championships back in August 2023. Whilst in marshalling he was teaching Auslan to kids from NSW who wanted to learn how to communicate with a deaf swimmer in their team.  The joy from the deaf swimmer when his teammates signed to him was heart-warming and a joy to those who witnessed the exchange.  Well done Ethan!

It just goes to show that actions are remembered by those around you and months later, Ethan was recognised for his kind actions!
